What we do at The Net?

We bring the kids into the presence of Jesus at least three times a week

We introduce kids to a Jesus who is relevant, available and loving

We emphasize the importance of Faith, Family, Finances, and Fitness

We are giving them constructive use of their time to keep them from wandering the streets

We are exposing them to things that inspire them to want something better

We are tapping into their creative potential to give the world what they have to offer

We are helping them develop the life skills to become successful adults

We are getting them off the street thus reducing their vulnerability to teenage pregnancy, drug addiction, crime, school failure and other pitfalls

We give kids an opportunity to develop their talents and use them to reach other kids

We transport them

We feed them

We are providing a positive peer social network

We give adults opportunity to use their gifts to mentor and inspire young people

We give glory to God for the great things He is doing at The Net!

Y.M.A.D.I.C. Hits St. Peter United Methodist Church

On Sunday, July 12, 2009, The Net youth shared Christ in a creative way with St. Peters United Methodist Church in Madison, Alabama. Pastor Rod Stallworth so graciously welcomed Y.M.A.D.I.C. during their children's day worship service. Y.M.A.D.I.C.'s presentation included two dramatic presentations that demonstrated the sacrifice Jesus has made for us and an interpretive dance where Hope and Nandi shared the blessings of that sacrifice. Pastor Joe passionately tied it all together in a compelling way. The congregation expressed how blessed they were by the message. One young girl gave her heart to the Lord. Praise the Lord for Y.M.A.D.I.C.

Rite of Passage Program Beginning at The Net
Getting youth past all the dangerous pitfalls into productive adulthood is not a simple task. We are committed at The Net to launch our youth into happy, healthy, caring adults. We are assigning an adult to mentor each youth providing encouragement, assistance, and friendship. The ultimate outcome of our mentoring program is to see each youth speaking life into others.
